Stuart Etherington – Vice President Hospitality Asset Management, Dubai Holding, one of Dubai’s leading real estate development organisations with an extensive diversified asset portfolio of residential, commercial, hospitality, retail and marina’s.
Etherington joined Dubai Holding Hospitality Asset Management December 2015, initially challenged to conceive within Dubai Properties business vertical, a new division providing recurring income through hospitality assets over and above the incomes already received from residential and retail assets.
In 2017 the DP portfolio was consolidated within a larger DH Hospitality division, that is responsible for all global hospitality assets, their strategic direction, operational asset management, growth and performance.
Key achievements include the implementation of DH Hotel asset management process manual, relating to both Hotel operational needs and hotel development, which has gained endorsement by HAMA (Hotel Asset Management Association) as industry “best practise” creating the Asset management DNA that delivers the vision and financial performance demanded by DH.
Previously, Etherington served three years as Director Hospitality Development of Omran, Oman’s tourism development company where he oversaw a network of renowned accommodation developments and operations.
Prior to joining Dubai Holding, Etherington spent 20 years in various leadership positions, Vice President - Kempinski Hotel Middle East, Africa and Indian Ocean, Global Hospitality Consultant - Woods Bagot, Australia and Development Director for Sir Terrance Conran, London.
Etherington started his career as an Hotelier in global upscale and luxury hotel chains based throughout Europe.
Etherington is a serving member of HOFTEL, HAMA and the Institute of Hotel Management.
