Sami Al Hokair is one of Saudi Arabia’s young and dynamic businessmen who combines traditional values with an appreciation of the 21st century business acumen. Being the third son of Sheikh Abdul Mohsen Al Hokair as well as the Managing Director of Al Hokair Group, Sami oversees the overall operation of the Group, mainly the chain of hotels and entertainment centres, the largest in the Middle East. Sami also plays a key role for the Group’s internal and external investment and development affairs. He holds various designations such as Chairman of Strategic Catering Company Ltd., which owns a majority stake in Saudi Arabian Airlines Catering which he is also designated as a Board Member; Vice Chairman of Sahara Kingdom General Trading and Contracting and WLL- UAE, Committee Member of Council of Tourism Development in the Eastern and Central Provinces of the Kingdom and Board Member of Abdul Mohsen Al Hokair Holding Company and of various organizations such as the Saudi Food Bank and Eastern Orphans Organization.
His incomparable insight in hospitality has led to the establishment of the first Hospitality Institute in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Shaped by his expertise and influence, he has positioned the company at the forefront of the hospitality and entertainment industries in the Middle East.
A recipient of the CEO Middle East Award for “Best CEO in the Hospitality Sector in the Kingdom” for 2013, Sami, born and raised in Riyadh is a 50 year old Saudi National and a father of four. He holds a Degree in Administrative Sciences from King Saud University Riyadh, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
