Andrew McLachlan is Hilton’s Managing Director for Development for sub-Saharan Africa.

A respected dealmaker with more than 100 hotel deals across 33 countries in the Anglophone, Francophone and the Lusophone markets of Africa.

Prior to joining Hilton during 2020, Andrew was the Senior Vice President Development at Radisson Hotel Group establishing that group’s presence in the region.

With a career spanning over 30 years in African hospitality in various hotel operational and development roles, including 14 years at Radisson Hotel Group and 15 years at Protea Hotels, Andrew brings extensive experience in hotel development along with an instinctive knowledge of Africa, a region he has been developing hotels in for over 20 years.

Andrew is based in Hilton's Africa Development Office in Cape Town. He leads a team of experienced developers working across the continent executing a laser sharp brand development rollout so Hilton is the 1st choice hotel group to the traveller in Africa and 1st choice hotel partner to Owners/investors & stakeholders.
