A recognized stalwart of the Middle East hospitality industry, Amine Moukarzel was the driving force behind the launch of some of the most successful hotels in the region, including the Crowne Plaza hotels in Dubai and Abu Dhabi.
Amine Moukarzel decided it was time to create his own regionally inspired hospitality projects and to establish a company called Flamingo Hospitality Management Company which was born in 1998 with three employees, and today the company operates throughout the Middle East & North Africa region, Georgia and Kyrgyzstan with more than 60 hotels.
Amine is the recipient of numerous awards and recognitions, including Hotelier Middle East (ranked as Top 9) and Hotelier Express Middle East ranked as Top 6 in 2017. He is a veteran lecturer, speaker in major universities, trade shows, conferences, symposium, latest speaker at the Association of the Mediterranean Chambers of Commerce and Industry (ASCAME) in Barcelona as well as a speaker in Georgia in the Hotel Management Conference.
Amine is an advisory board member of the Arabian Hotel Investment Conference and the Emirates Academy of Hospitality Management. He is the Vice President of Mediterranean Hotels and Restaurant Association (MHRA) and the Vice President - Middle East of International Hotels and Restaurant Association (IHRA) which is affiliated with UNWTO. He is also a board member of Al Hokair Group of Tourism and Development in addition to his position as the President of Louvre Hotels Group/Golden Tulip MENA and Flamingo Hospitality Management.

His Highness Sheikh Saud Bin Saqr Al Qasimi is a Member of the Supreme Council of the United Arab Emirates and the Ruler of Ras Al Khaimah.
Born in Dubai in 1956, Sheikh Saud was educated in Ras Al Khaimah before attending the American University of Beirut. He later transferred to the University of Michigan, graduating with a Bachelor’s Degree in Economics.
Upon his return from the United States in 1979, Sheikh Saud was appointed Chief of the Ruler’s Court, where he supported his father Sheikh Saqr’s ruling vision to modernize the administration and operations of the Government of Ras Al Khaimah. In 1986, he became the Chairman of the Ras Al Khaimah Municipal Council and continued his work to improve the Emirate’s infrastructure and governance practices.
During this period, Sheikh Saud also founded RAK Ceramics, restructured Julphar Pharmaceuticals, and introduced many commercial and social projects to Ras Al Khaimah.
Today, RAK Ceramics is the world’s largest ceramics company by sales volume, and Julphar is a leading pharmaceuticals company in the MENA region.
Sheikh Saud was named Crown Prince and Deputy Ruler of Ras Al Khaimah on 14 June 2003.
Following his appointment, he immediately embarked on a wide ranging campaign of reforms that accelerated the emirate’s social and economic development. Capitalizing on Ras Al Khaimah’s assets, including its location, geography, and long heritage of trade and exchange, Sheikh Saud oversaw the introduction of free zones and industrial parks, efficient business licensing procedures, and offshore corporate registration. Fueled by investment in tourism, manufacturing, and real estate, the Emirate enjoyed consistently robust GDP growth and attracted international attention as an emerging business destination.

Sharihan Al Mashary, Emirati, Hotelier & Policy influencer with 12 years of expertise in her professional field of Hospitality and Hotels – stood out as the strongest contender to be appointed as the first female Emirati General Manger in the history of the region and for Emaar Hospitality Group (EHG)— currently serving as Steering Committee Member for EHG-Dubai Expo2020 for Hospitality & Sustainability; incubated, developed and structured the Emaar Group’s Sustainability concept on achieving the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals through targeted and measured goals; created National Programme for Emirati Youth Graduates; project co-led Women-in-Leadership Programme. Sharihan became the first female Emirati to entirely support her nations team of EmiratesSkills as field Expert in WorldSkills International and training the national youth for global forum and competitions; and became the first female Emirati to judge at Hotelympia London 2018.
A former Aero & Astro-science student who then became accepted as the first female to join Abu Dhabi Men’s College in Aeronautical Mechanics & Airline Management left the mechanics world to join the hospitality and service industry. Her service was beyond just the industry but also in strengthening the employment of youth and women; transforming cultural mindsets and policies of recruitment for student internships, gender parity, meritocracy, homogeneity, and Education. Her deep commitment to ethics, service to humanity and her nation, bridged Sharihan to doing more than just ‘her bit’ – her involvement with Community Development Authorities, Vocational & Technical Education, University curriculum development, and her continuous support to UAE’s governmental entities’ local, regional and global initiates are evident in her work, achievements and her dedication towards United Nation’s Sustainable Development Goals, and in particular, Goal 8 (Economic Growth, Decent Work for All, Eradicating Modern Day Slavery).
After becoming one of the founding members and executive committee member of the Global Sustainability Network (GSN), an organization dedicated to eradicating modern slavery, economic growth and youth & women employment by 2030 as set forth by the UN Sustainable Development Goals (Goal 8)—Sharihan is determined to see changes in the Tourism & Hospitality industry and within its supply-chains. Praised for strategic and value-based leadership by her peers and government.
